How do I book a session?

To book a session, head to the SERVICES page or PACKAGES page and fill out the contact form. Or, e-mail me directly at zacheryknudsonphotography@gmail.com.

How far in advance should I book?

If it is a smaller project and doesn't require a studio, we can start within 48 hours provided you have signed a contract and payed any fee(s) applicable. Larger projects will require 1 week in advance.

Do you require a deposit/retainer? Is it refundable?

Yes, a retainer and a signed contract are required to secure your session date and time.

To reserve your booking, I require a 50% retainer.

• Retainer Purpose: This payment secures your spot on my calendar. Once your retainer is paid, I commit my time to your session and turn away other inquiries for that date.

• 48-Hour Refund Exception: I offer a client friendly window: If you need to cancel your session, you may receive a full refund of your retainer if you notify me in writing at least 48 hours before the scheduled session time.

• Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule outside of the 48-hour window, the retainer can be transferred to a new date within 6 months, provided I have availability.

Do we receive the unedited (RAW) files?

No, I do not release the unedited RAW files.

RAW files are essentially the "digital negatives" of your images. They require specialized software and meticulous attention to look like the final photographs you see in my portfolio.

I personally edit every single image to ensure consistent color, style, and quality, which is what gives the final photographs the "soul of the photographer." Delivering only edited files guarantees that the final product represents my professional standard and artistic vision.

Want a Different Look?

My goal is always to deliver images you absolutely love! If you have a specific style or edit in mind, perhaps a preference for slightly warmer tones or a classic black and white look (We can always use real 35mm or medium format film too!), please let me know before the session. I am happy to discuss adapting my editing style to better suit your vision.

When can we expect to receive our photos/gallery?

My goal is to deliver your beautiful images as efficiently as possible, but the timeline depends on the service provided:

Standard Digital Gallery: Within 1 week. This applies to sessions using only digital cameras.

Digital with Retouching: Varies (1-2 Weeks) I will first send you the full edited gallery for review. Once you select the specific images for advanced retouching, I will finalize those and deliver the complete gallery shortly after.

Film Photography: Up to 2 weeks. This time accounts for the analog process. It covers shipping the film to the lab, processing, scanning, and the final editing touches once I receive the digital scans back. Note: I process and scan all black and white film myself leading to shorter wait times.
